Walnut Pesto (Dairy Free!)

Does pesto ever make you think about your childhood or a fancy dinner? It does for me and I was super upset when I found out that most pesto is made with cheese. Being lactose intolerant made it hard to eat pesto until I realized how insanely easy it was to make pesto at home without any added dairy. Here is my walnut-pesto recipe:

2 cups basil

1/2 cup walnuts

1 clove garlic

1 lemon squeezed

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

pinch of salt and pepper

***may need a splash of water to get everything blended

Add all ingredients to a small blender and combine until smooth. Serve with sauteed veggies and Banza pasta, marinate chicken in it our add to soups. There are so many ways to use this yummy pesto!
