Digestive Friendly Fat Balls

IMG_3823.jpeg

Looking for ways to stay full longer? Well have no fear, here is an amazing recipe to help decrease the daily amount of sugar in your diet and to keep you full. I had one of these before a weight workout and felt great. We will see how I do with a more cardio heavy workout, may be better post-workout.

NERD NOTE

Keeping your blood sugar stable is the key to healthy weight and balanced hormones. A lot of the health issues we face today stem from large amounts of sugar in the diet which lead to altered hormone levels. This can be corrected by the food we eat, healing digestive health and decreasing stress.

Recipe

  • 1 cup shredded coconut

  • 1/2 cup cacao nibs

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup coconut butter

  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins Gellatin

  • 1/2 cup almonds

  • 1/2 cup cashews

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tbsp glutamine

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until you reach a dough like consistency. Form into 1 inch balls and freeze. It should make about 12 balls.
